At COP28, Shamma Al Mazrui, the UAE’s first Youth Climate Champion, has made history by championing youth voices and ensuring they have a permanent place in climate action. From creating new platforms and opportunities to securing sustainable support, her efforts have transformed the role of young people in global climate policy. As we look toward COP29, these initiatives will empower the next generation to drive real change in the fight against climate change.
