Abstract:
Dubai’s Sustainable City has initiated a pilot program for autonomous delivery robots, developed by Dubai Future Labs in collaboration with Lyve Global, to enhance delivery services and support the city’s vision of becoming the world’s smartest city.
Key Highlights:
- Initiative Launch: The Sustainable City in Dubai has started a pilot program for autonomous delivery robots.
- Collaborative Effort: The project is a collaboration between Dubai Future Labs and Lyve Global.
- Robot Features: Three robots will deliver food to residents from restaurants and shops in the plaza area. They are equipped with real-time tracking, a secured delivery compartment, and a Fleet Management System.
- Efficiency and Safety: Robots are designed to ensure swift delivery within 30 minutes, safely navigate their surroundings, and autonomously identify charging stations.
- Alignment with Dubai’s Goals: The project supports Dubai’s goal to make 25% of trips autonomous by 2030 and aligns with the “Dubai Robotics and Automation Program.”
Controlled Environment: The car-free residential clusters of The Sustainable City provide a safe and conducive environment for testing and optimizing the performance of the delivery robots.
